Do we need people editing other people's posts to remove"Thanks"? Andremove "Thanks", thereby bumping old questions.

YesSaying thanks, thisand people leaving it, is a popular practice at some sites such as https://stats.stackexchange.com/stats.meta.SE: What's the site policy on removing text such as “thank you”, or “This question is too easy”. 

I don't think we need that here, but at Meta.SE: Should 'Hi', 'thanks', taglines, and salutations be removed from posts? removals seem advised.
